2009 Dunwoody Late Harvest Run Sponsored by The Dunwoody Restaurant Group, Operation Boot Camp and Eagle Rock Distributors

What:
5K run/walk on a predetermined course through Dunwoody Begins and ends at the Dunwoody Farm House Party to follow at The Dunwoody Tavern that evening

Time:
Registration begins at 8:00 AM at The Dunwoody Farmhouse. Registration closes at 8.45 AM
Run begins at 9:00 AM

Cost:
$25 per runner that includes a t-shirt and dinner. Children under 10 are free

Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Dunwoody Farmhouse and Atlanta Humane Society

Directions:
Take I-285 E to Ashford Dunwoody Rd.

Exit Ashford Dunwoody Road North, traveling outside the Perimeter

Continue until the road forks, take slight right and continue onto Mount Vernon Rd. Turn left onto Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.

The Dunwoody Farm House will be on the right.

We will Employee City of Dunwoody officers to manage the Run

We will need roads blocked off and officers at each intersection that is blocked.

Andra Galtieri will obtain a Permit from the City of Dunwoody

The Run Route:
Runners will begin at The Dunwoody Farm House

They will run North down Chamblee Dunwoody toward Spalding Drive.

Once the runners reach Spalding Drive they will turn left and run down a block to Dunwoody Road and turn left again.

They will proceed on Dunwoody Rd until intersects Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., where they will turn right.

From there, the runners will continue South on Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. back to the finish line at The Dunwoody Farm House.

Restroom Facilities:
The Dunwoody Farm House will be open and the toilets will be available to the public.

First Aid:
Dekalb County Fireman will be on site to supply any medical issue that may arise.

Waste Disposal:
There is a dumpster on the premises of the property of the Dunwoody Farm House.

Crowd Control Plan:
Parking will be available behind the Dunwoody Farm House and at The Shoppes of Dunwoody. Also Off Duty City of Dunwoody Police officers will be on site to control traffic.

Dunwoody Restaurant Group will be responsible for the cost of the run, the band, and insurance. Water and bananas will be supplied to the runners after the race, donated by Sysco Foods.

Operation Boot Camp will also be a co sponsor and will be responsible for the pre run warm up and the actual logistics of the run itself.

The entry fee will pay for the t-shirts and the barbeque after. Redhook will donate 500 shirts with their logo on the front, and we will then print the sponsor’s logos on the back. All registered participants will get a t-shirt and dinner.

AFTER PARTY:

Location: DUNWOODY TAVERN (Directions)

Band should start playing around 6:30 PM

We will have a fenced in area with the band outside playing until 10.30pm. plastic tables and chairs will be supplied and beverages will be served in plastic cups.

A large barbeque will be set up to roast a suckling pig to feed the runners during the evening.

We will have an Off Duty Police Officer on duty.

The party will end once the band finishes and we will resume normal business.
